Stephen began his insurance adjusting career in 1986 with Aetna Life and Casualty, Commercial Claims Division and The Travelers Group of Insurance Companies. Stephen has handled all lines of property and casualty claims throughout his career and has held the positions of General Adjuster, Property Supervisor, Property Re- Inspector, and Analyst during his years with Aetna/Travelers. Stephen joined Fort Orange Claim Service in 1997 as a Branch Manager and became the General Manager and Vice President in 2006 and currently serves as the CEO and President. Stephen is a 1986 graduate of the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. He is a CPCU and has also earned insurance designations in Associates in Claims Management, Risk Management, Loss Control Management, Marine Insurance, and Reinsurance. Stephen is a past President and current member of the New York Association of Independent Adjusters, Registered Professional Adjusters, and The Society of CPCU.

Patrick currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for FOCUS Adjusters. In his current role, he oversees day-to-day field operations, strategic operational planning, InsurTech utilization/implementation and serves as a lead adjuster on the most complex claim matters throughout the United States. As an Executive General Adjuster, Patrick has extensive experience with highly complex first-party property claim adjustments and specializes in commercial, municipal, and education institution claims. He routinely is asked to serve as an appraiser, umpire, and subject matter expert for insurance companies and their legal counsel on first-party property matters. Patrick has served on the board of multiple industry trade organizations and is active in his community, both personally and professionally. In addition, Patrick is a presenting expert at national industry trade events speaking on good faith claims handling and other first-party claim matters.
Matthew graduated from Saint Peter’s College in Jersey City, NJ with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. In 2008, he joined Fort Orange Claim Service, Inc. as a multi-line adjuster. He advanced to General Adjuster in 2012, then Regional General Manager in 2015. Matthew was promoted to the position of Associate Vice President in 2022. In this role, he currently manages designated adjusters, specific clients, and large, complex property claims throughout the Northeast. Matthew holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Claims (AIC), and Certified Claims Professional (CCP) designations. He is a licensed adjuster in New York, Connecticut, Maine, Rhode Island, and Vermont, and is NFIP Flood Certified. Matthew is both a certified appraiser and umpire and is routinely selected to act in both capacities. He’s an executive member of the New York State Association of Independent Adjusters, member of the National Association of Independent Adjusters, Utica Claims Association, CLM, and an associated member of PLRB.
John began his 45 year insurance claim career at Chubb & Son, Inc. in a variety of field, staff, and regional management positions in Westchester, Houston, Long Island, NYC, and Albany. John then joined Crawford & Company as a Supervising General Adjuster, providing Property claims leadership over field offices from Virginia to Maine. Next, John served as VP-Director of Claims Management at the regional insurance agency, Rose & Kiernan, Inc. (now NFP), for close to 15 years before joining FOCUS Adjusters as the Assistant Vice President – Marketing, Director – Large Loss. John holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Iona College, is a licensed General Adjuster in New York, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Florida, has secured his CPCU, SCLA Gold, and CIC designations, and recently served on the Agency Claims Advisory Board for a national insurance company. John provides supervisory review, marketing and client carrier liaison, recruiting, and large loss file handling responsibilities for FOCUS Adjusters and our valued clients.
